High Mountain Tie Guan Yin Oolong tea is a premium oolong tea cultivar cultivated in the Anxi Mountains of Fujian Province, China. It is renowned for its intricate processing technique and complex flavor profile. Its cultivation involves meticulous hand-picking of the finest tea buds, ensuring quality and craftsmanship. It has a symphony of flavors, delicately balanced between sweetness and floral notes, complemented by hints of roasted chestnuts and a lingering buttery smoothness.

High Mountain Tie Guan Yin Oolong tea is a good choice for tea connoisseurs seeking a premium oolong with a complex flavor profile, rich aroma, and a sweet aftertaste.

** Note: This tea will ship with a label that says "High Mountain Ti Guan Yin" (with a Ti instead of Tie). Lesson learned, it was a late night when I was designing these labels and to always triple check your work. **

Recommended Starting Numbers
1 gram (~1/2 tsp) of tea leaves per 1 oz. of water

Tea pot style: Steep for 3 minutes
When we first tried Tie Guan Yin we almost wrote it off but we are glad we didn't. Our first experience was steeping gong fu cha style, and the first few steeps have a very flat and bland flavor. If you give the tea a little time though, the flavor opens up into a wonderful naturally sweet tea that keeps getting sweeter as you steep it more. We wanted to offer a Tie Guan Yin that can hopefully expose others to this surprising flavor just like we experienced it.
